Labourer Kwesi Eddison Walker, 40, of Mendez Drive Extension, Champs Fleurs, was shot and killed on 2nd Drive, Champs Fleurs on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 around 8:30 p.m. Officers from the St. Joseph CID responded to a wireless transmission from the Command Centre reporting a shooting in progress and discovered Walker lying motionless on the roadway with visible injuries. A District Medical Officer attended the scene, examined the body, and officially pronounced Walker dead. Crime Scene Investigators processed the area and recovered one live round of 9mm ammunition along with three spent 9mm shell casings at the scene. The St. Joseph Police District is investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
