A violent armed home invasion and carjacking occurred around midnight on Wednesday, targeting a 63-year-old retired man in his Signal Hill residence. Two intruders, one armed with a firearm, assaulted and beat the victim, then bound his hands and mouth with duct tape. The criminals forced the man into the trunk of his own black Nissan X-Trail (PBX 4785) before driving him to the Bacolet area, where they expelled him from the vehicle and fled with the stolen SUV.
