La FortuneZastava Rifle and Ammunition Seized During SDTF Anti-Crime Exercise

Officers of the Southern Division Task Force (SDTF) conducted an anti-crime exercise in Area West between 7:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. on Monday, May 25, 2026. A search at a residence on Boodhai Street, La Fortune, La Romain resulted in the discovery of a Zastava Serbia 7.62 rifle together with a quantity of ammunition. The operation was coordinated by senior officers including Snr. Supt. Simon, Supt. Bertie, and W/Supt. Bridglal, with direct supervision by Sgt. Phoolchan and W/Cpl. Plenty. The seized firearm and ammunition were removed from the community as part of the SDTF's intensified anti-crime operations aimed at disrupting criminal activity.
