A 26-year-old woman from south Trinidad was sexually assaulted during a home invasion at her residence early Friday morning, May 23, 2026. The victim reported being awakened around midnight by an intruder who entered through a window with three louvre blades removed, stating he had been sent to kill her but would not. The suspect allegedly slapped the victim across the face, threatened to kill her if she made noise, and blindfolded her with cloth before sexually assaulting her over an extended period. The assailant eventually fled through a back door after warning the victim not to move. The victim reported the incident to police and underwent a medical examination. Crime Scene Investigators processed the scene and recovered workable fingerprints; investigations are ongoing with no arrests reported at the time of publication.
