Sea Lots13-Year-Old Girl Sexually Assaulted in Resident's Home

Hasim Ali's home, Sea Lots, Port of Spain

A 13-year-old girl was sexually assaulted in a home in Sea Lots on Thursday night, May 28, 2026. The girl reported that she was walking within the Sea Lots community when she encountered a 52-year-old man (later identified as Hasim Ali) who took her to his home. She alleged that she was sexually assaulted at the residence and was then allowed to leave. The girl told relatives of the alleged incident and was taken for medical treatment. Officers from the Besson Street Police Station are investigating the sexual assault allegation; the suspect denied the allegations before his death.
