Around 5:00 a.m. on Christmas Day, armed assailants forced their way into a family residence along Wall Street, Sesame Street, Pinto Road in Arima. The gunmen opened fire on the occupants while they were inside the home, fatally wounding 23-year-old Dijon Cottoy. A 14-year-old boy was also killed in the attack, and an 8-year-old child was transported to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the shoulder. Senior police officers visited the scene and are currently investigating the motive behind the deadly assault.
