A Nissan Bluebird Sylphy was reported stolen from the Pinto Police District on June 24, 2026. Officers on patrol along Tapana Road in Valencia on June 29 observed the vehicle displaying false registration plates and discovered it had been tampered with. The driver of the Nissan exited the vehicle and fled into nearby bushes, evading capture. A 31-year-old man driving a Toyota Hilux at the scene was arrested on suspicion of offences connected to the stolen vehicle. Both vehicles were seized and transported to the Valencia Police Post; investigations remain ongoing.
