Forest Park58-Year-Old Man Stabbed Multiple Times in Lured Gang Assault

Kangawood Trace, Forest Park, Sum Sum Hill , Couva - Tabaquite - Talparo

A 58-year-old man was ambushed and stabbed multiple times outside his home on Cangawood Trace, Forest Park around 6:30 p.m. on June 3. The victim was lured outside by a woman known to him, who was working in coordination with four male accomplices. Upon stepping outside, the victim was confronted by the woman and the four men, at least one armed with a knife, who grabbed him and launched a vicious attack, stabbing him repeatedly about his back. Despite his injuries, the man managed to break free and arm himself with a cutlass, causing the attackers to flee before they could inflict further harm. A neighbour contacted emergency medical services and the victim was transported to San Fernando General Hospital for treatment. Police are working to identify and locate the four male suspects and have identified the female suspect who lured the victim from his home; enquiries continue into the circumstances of the incident.
