Claxton Bay43 Stolen Police Guns Recovered; Businessman Linked to $10,000 Sales

Claxton Bay flyover area; Forres Park dump, Sum Sum Hill , Couva - Tabaquite - Talparo

Police recovered 43 of over 100 firearms stolen from San Fernando Municipal Police Station, with 22 weapons found buried at Forres Park dump and 21 recovered during a road exercise near Claxton Bay flyover on Tuesday. Investigators received credible information that a businessman from Central Trinidad sold some Glock pistols for at least $10,000 each to criminal figures in San Fernando and Enterprise over the preceding 48 hours. The businessman has gone into hiding and the vehicle used to transport the firearms remains at large.
