A planned transaction for gold jewelry valued at $12,000 turned into a brazen robbery on the compound of the Chaguanas Police Station. The victim had arranged to meet the suspect at the station for safety, but the individual snatched the jewelry and fled the premises on foot. The victim reported that an officer on-site instructed them to chase the fleeing suspect rather than providing immediate tactical intervention. The incident was highlighted on the Crime Watch program with Ian Alleyne, where the victim expressed shock at being targeted within a police facility.
