Woodford GardensBusinessman Gregory Reece Fatally Stabbed in Apartment

Corner of Oak Avenue and Coconut Drive, Woodford Gardens, Chaguanas

Chaguanas businessman Gregory Reece, 45, was fatally stabbed at an apartment at the corner of Oak Avenue and Coconut Drive, Woodford Gardens on Sunday, June 28, 2026. Reece arrived at the property driving a Toyota SUV (registration PEF 9530) where an altercation occurred with a 25-year-old female resident of the apartment. The woman stabbed Reece fatally during the confrontation. Emergency Health Services paramedics responded to the scene but found Reece with no vital signs. Reece was declared dead by the District Medical Officer. Police detained the 25-year-old woman in connection with the stabbing and removed her from the scene in an unmarked police vehicle; she was reportedly heard sobbing inside the apartment as investigations began. Reece had previously been charged in 2017 with uttering forged valuable securities and obtaining money by false pretences in connection with fraudulent cheques totalling over $1.4 million deposited into his business account.
