A 42-year-old man was robbed of two gold chains valued at $70,000 at the front door of his Almond Court home in Morvant early Monday morning around 3:30 AM. The man and his common-law wife were about to enter their apartment when they were confronted by two bandits, one of whom was armed with a gun. The bandits took the jewellery and fled the scene. Police are investigating the robbery; no arrests have been made at this time.
