Residence in Central Division, Couva, Couva - Tabaquite - Talparo

An 18-year-old woman and a young man were allegedly abducted from a residence in the Central Division during the early hours of Monday, June 22, 2026. The pair were asleep when a man known to them allegedly forced both individuals to accompany him against their will to another location within the Central Division. While at that location, the female victim was allegedly sexually assaulted by the suspect. The male victim later managed to seek assistance from police, triggering an immediate response. Officers subsequently located the woman and escorted both individuals to a police station. The Central Division is conducting active investigations into the matter.
