MorvantPolice Recover AR-15 Rifle with 29 Rounds of Ammunition

Morvant district (abandoned wooden structure), San Juan, San Juan - Laventille

Task Force officers conducted a search of an abandoned wooden structure in the Morvant district on Thursday, June 25, 2026 between 2:30 pm and 5:30 pm, resulting in the discovery of one AR-15 rifle loaded with a magazine containing 29 rounds of 5.56 ammunition. The operation was spearheaded by W/Senior Superintendent (Acting) Guy-Alleyne, Superintendent Birch, and Assistant Superintendent (Acting) Callender, and included personnel of the Canine Branch. No suspect was arrested in connection with this seizure.
