A Macoya man was arrested on Thursday, June 25, 2026 after being found in possession of cannabis during a Task Force exercise in the North Central Division. The arrest was made between 6 pm and 11 pm as part of ongoing State of Emergency operations coordinated by Senior Superintendent Gift, Superintendent Jaikaran, and Assistant Superintendent Pierre. The operation included personnel from the Criminal Investigations Department Operations Unit, St. Joseph CID, Tunapuna CID, Arouca CID, Guard and Emergency Branch, and the Canine Unit.
