A Macoya-based distribution company reported that 50 cases of cheese, weighing a total of 20 kilogrammes, had gone missing on March 18, 2026. Police traced the stolen goods to a supermarket in Tacarigua, where all 50 cases were successfully recovered during an intelligence-led operation conducted on March 24 between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. A 38-year-old male suspect was taken into custody in connection with the incident. The operation was led by senior officers from the North Central Division Criminal Investigations Department, Operations Unit, and Area West-Tunapuna.
