A woman was robbed of a gold chain valued $3,000 TT while walking along Charlotte Street near Diamond Casino around 4:10 p.m. on Thursday, March 19th, 2026. The assailant grabbed her from behind and attempted to snatch her handbag; when she resisted and fought back, he ripped the gold chain from around her neck before fleeing the scene. The victim was physically assaulted during the robbery but no serious injuries were reported. Police are investigating the incident.
