Grant Street, Frederick Settlement, Caroni, Frederick Settlement , Tunapuna - Piarco

Police recovered one pistol hidden in a bushy area on Grant Street, Frederick Settlement, Caroni during a Criminal Investigations Department/Criminal Records Office Special Operations Unit exercise on Thursday, June 25, 2026, around 12:30 pm. Two men were detained by officers under the Emergency Powers Regulations, 2026 during the same exercise. The operation was strategically directed by Deputy Commissioner of Police Natasha George, coordinated by ACP Smith, and spearheaded by Senior Superintendent Pariman and Superintendent De Matos.
