Calvin James, 33, of Phase Two Malabar, was stabbed to death outside Vybz Room Bar on Green Street, Arima early Saturday June 27, 2026, following an altercation with a security officer employed at the establishment. Police responded to an assault report shortly after 5:30 a.m. and found blood on the pavement outside the bar while interviewing witnesses. James had allegedly attempted to re-enter the bar after leaving, which resulted in the altercation with the security officer who had been instructed not to allow patrons back inside. James was transported to Arima Hospital suffering from two stab wounds and was pronounced dead at 7 a.m. despite medical intervention. Crime Scene Investigators processed the scene and collected evidence as homicide detectives continued their investigation; the security officer suspect remains at large and police are actively seeking his whereabouts.
