A 24-year-old self-employed vendor was robbed of a gold Spanish link chain valued at TT$4,000 at his stall on St. Lucien Road, Diego Martin on Saturday, July 4, 2026 around 8:30 p.m. While the vendor was preparing an oyster order for a customer, a man wearing a black hoodie approached and pulled an object resembling a firearm from his pocket, pointing it at the vendor. The suspect then grabbed the gold chain from the vendor's neck and fled the area with the jewellery. Police investigations are ongoing; no arrests have been made at this time.
