A 28-year-old woman was robbed of her gold chain valued at TT$6,000 outside a bar in Mt. Pleasant, Tobago on Sunday, July 5, 2026. The suspect had interacted with the woman inside the establishment before leaving to put on a red and black ski mask and wait for her outside. When the woman came downstairs, the suspect grabbed the gold chain from around her neck with such force that it snapped and knocked her to the ground. The suspect fled with the jewellery before police arrived. Investigations are ongoing.
