Two gunmen opened fire near a group of people on Woodford Street, Arima on Friday, July 10, 2026 around 8:40 p.m., striking a parked silver Toyota Corolla belonging to an off-duty police officer near the Arima Fire Station. Officers from the Northern Division Task Force observed the suspects in dark clothing brandishing firearms outside a barber shop and nearby businesses before multiple shots were discharged in the direction of a crowd, causing panic and people to scatter. A bullet hole was found beneath the vehicle's fuel tank lid, and a projectile was recovered from the trunk. The two suspects fled on foot—one toward St. Joseph Street and the other along Broadway—and both evaded capture despite immediate police pursuit; no injuries to persons were reported.
