Kadeem Mason, 25, of Cicada Drive, Diego Martin, was shot and killed while liming outside a home on Tuesday night shortly after 8 p.m. Mason was liming with Anthony Bonaparte, 20, and Jahiem Fredericks, 23, when a white Nissan AD Wagon pulled up and two armed men exited and opened fire on the trio. Mason was shot in the head and abdomen; he attempted to run but collapsed a short distance away. Bonaparte was shot in the right leg, while Fredericks sustained a graze wound to his left foot. Both men fled as the shooting began but returned after the gunmen left and found Mason lying on the roadway. They placed him in a vehicle and rushed him to the St James Medical Facility, where he was pronounced dead on arrival. Bonaparte and Fredericks were treated for their injuries. Police are continuing investigations into the killing; no arrests have been made.
