Frankie 'Fishie' Bartholomew was shot outside his home in Morvant at around 9 pm on Friday, July 24, 2026. He sustained gunshot wounds to the chest, hands, and legs and was rushed to Port of Spain General Hospital where he remains warded in critical condition. Residents heard gunshots and discovered Bartholomew injured outside his residence. Police increased patrols at the hospital and across the capital to prevent possible reprisal shootings. Senior TTPS officials confirmed the heightened security measures and appealed to the public for information. The shooting occurred hours after Homeland Security Minister Roger Alexander publicly identified Bartholomew as one of several individuals allegedly linked to escalating gang conflict in the Morvant district.
