De New Parts Place Ltd. in Bamboo No. 3 was targeted by thieves during a nighttime break-in on July 22, 2026. Thieves stole batteries, oils, filters, coolant and other recently stocked vehicle parts from the business. Business owners have appealed to the public for information to identify those responsible and have warned customers to be cautious when purchasing Ostin, Alpha or Power 77 batteries. Two vehicles were seen at the business during the incident: a Nissan B14 with registration PBJ 5899 and a Nissan Tiida with registration PCS 6490. Police investigations into the burglary are ongoing; no arrests have been reported.
