Hakeem Zion Neverson, 22, a self-employed mechanic of Crichlow Trace, Chinapoo Village, was shot and killed in a drive-by shooting on Saturday night around 8:50 p.m. Neverson and 23-year-old Cassius Mc Nicol were seated outside a shop along Chinapoo Road when a silver Lancer wagon (registration PCL) drove past, turned around, and returned to the location. The vehicle stopped near the men and multiple gunshots were fired. Neverson was pronounced dead at the scene by the District Medical Officer, while Mc Nicol was transported to Port of Spain General Hospital and treated for his injuries, listed in stable condition. Crime scene investigators processed the area but recovered no evidential items. Police are investigating the motive and searching for the suspects responsible for the shooting.
