A woman was robbed at the Morvant Taxi Stand on George Street in Port of Spain early Sunday morning around 12:30 a.m. Two male suspects approached her while she stood near the Housing Development Corporation building. One suspect, described as slim-built, approximately 5ft 5in tall, with a low-cut hairstyle, wearing an orange T-shirt and three-quarter pants, demanded her cellphone while the second suspect grabbed her brown Coach handbag. During the robbery, the first suspect threatened the victim by saying "shoot she", causing her to fear for her life. The suspects escaped south along George Street with her handbag valued at $250, which contained bank cards, identification, and miscellaneous items. Police are investigating the incident.
