Yamerlis Lopez, 27, was gunned down while sitting under a shed at Garden Road, Windy Hill, Arouca on January 21. Initial reports indicated that Lopez was pregnant at the time of the shooting; however, post-mortem results refuted this. Police suspect the killing arose from a dispute. A 27-year-old man has been charged with her murder following instructions from the Director of Public Prosecutions.
