A 38-year-old prison officer's home at Ridgeview Heights, Arouca was burglarized between 10 PM on Monday, July 6, 2026 and 5:30 AM on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, resulting in the theft of a loaded 9mm magazine containing 11 live rounds of ammunition belonging to the Trinidad and Tobago Prison Service, along with $600 cash and personal items. The officer reported that he had locked and secured his home before going to bed, but discovered upon waking that his front door and kitchen window had been opened. A subsequent check revealed missing car keys, house keys, safe keys, bank cards, work identification, and a TTI.D card in addition to the ammunition and cash. Police are investigating the burglary; no arrests have been made at this time.
