A 32-year-old woman from Chaguanas was contacted via Facebook on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, by a man identifying himself as "Glenn," who claimed to be employed at Tru Valu Supermarket in Trincity Mall and offered to supply discounted alcoholic beverages. On June 25, 2025, around 11:30 AM, the victim met the suspect at the supermarket. He instructed her to purchase empty cases and accompanied her to Hauxing Supermarket on the Eastern Main Road in Tacarigua, where she bought the cases. They returned to Tru Valu, where the victim handed over $5,500 in cash and her driver's permit to the suspect, who claimed his supervisor would prepare an invoice.
