Teen stabbed in neck and face during domestic altercation (19-year-old victim)

Home in Cunupia, Cunupia, Couva - Tabaquite - Talparo

A 19-year-old man was seriously wounded during a domestic altercation at a home in Cunupia on Saturday morning, June 28th, 2025, around 9:30 a.m. An argument broke out between the victim and his 15-year-old cousin, who reside at the same location. During the confrontation, the younger teen allegedly armed himself with a broken glass bottle and inflicted several stab wounds to the older teen's neck, face, shoulder, and back. The victim was rushed to the Chaguanas District Health Facility by a family member and later transferred to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex, where he was treated and subsequently discharged. Police arrested the 15-year-old suspect, who was taken for medical attention and conveyed to the Maracas St. Joseph Booking Centre.
