A massive theft occurred on the Gran Couva Main Road, Preysal, Central Division, around 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 17, 2025. A 52-year-old man parked his Kia Sportage SUV near the Preysal Secondary School to make a purchase from a roadside vendor, leaving a bag containing $200,000 TTD in cash in the rear of the vehicle. The victim observed a man of African descent open the rear door, snatch the bag, and throw it into a waiting silver Toyota Aqua (PDS 8733). The vehicle sped off south toward the Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway, while the suspect escaped on foot into nearby bushes.
