Gran CouvaThieves Cut Roof, Steal Solar System Worth $17,000

Corosal Road, Gran Couva, Preysal, Couva - Tabaquite - Talparo

A homeowner in Gran Couva along Corosal Road discovered a burglary after securing his house at 11 a.m. on May 22, 2026 and returning on May 25 to find the driveway chain cut. Intruders had pried open a hole in the roof on the south-western side of the house to gain entry into the residence. Thieves stole two solar panels, two batteries, two gas tanks, folding tables, and bottles of whiskey, with total losses estimated at over $17,000. Investigators believe the suspects exited through a steel door on the north-eastern side of the property. Police enquiries are continuing into the incident.
