Doubles vendor robbed near Preysal Cemetery

Near Preysal Cemetery, Preysal, Couva - Tabaquite - Talparo

A doubles vendor was robbed early on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, near the Preysal Cemetery. An occupant of a white Nissan Navara bearing registration number TCH 7984 pulled up alongside the vendor, emerged from the vehicle, and carried out the robbery before making their escape. The vehicle used in the robbery was reported stolen during a separate robbery incident involving four vendors at Outties Doubles in Golconda. Police are investigating both incidents and the connection between the stolen vehicle and the robberies.
