Vynesh Roshan Sookoo, 44, a South Oropouche businessman and owner of Vyn's AutoZone, was shot and killed on Thursday afternoon around 5 PM outside his auto garage on Mon Desir Road. Sookoo had stepped out of the garage to meet a customer when gunmen waiting in a car opened fire on him. His fiancée, who was at the business with him, heard multiple loud explosions and found him lying on the ground with gunshot injuries. An inspector who arrived at the scene attempted CPR, but Sookoo was pronounced dead at the scene. Police investigators believe the gunmen were waiting and have not yet determined a motive. Officers from the Homicide Bureau of Investigations, Region Three, are continuing investigations.
