TunapunaMan Stabbed After Striking Acquaintance with Shovel

Bamboo Trace, San Juan, San Juan - Laventille

Gary Anderson of Tunapuna was stabbed on the left side of his chest by Jerry Rosado of Bamboo Trace around 2:30 PM on July 15 during a verbal altercation. Anderson had armed himself with a shovel and struck Rosado on the head; during the ensuing scuffle, Rosado stabbed Anderson in response. Anderson was taken to Tunapuna Police Station to report the incident, then transferred to Mt. Hope Hospital where he was treated for collapsed lungs. Police arrested Rosado pending further investigation.
