A 65-year-old pensioner was stabbed in the left side of his chest with a broken glass bottle during an altercation with a 33-year-old Venezuelan woman in Icacos Village, Cedros around 2:00 AM. The woman allegedly grabbed a glass bottle, smashed it, and charged towards the elderly man, inflicting the wound. The victim raised an alarm and was transported to Point Fortin Hospital, where he was admitted in critical but stable condition. Police officers Cpl Ramroop and PC Ramkissoon conducted enquiries and arrested the Venezuelan national.
