Man beaten in home invasion; soldier among 3 held (21)

Hilltop Road, Cumaca Village, Cumaca , Sangre Grande

A 21-year-old resident of Hilltop Road, Cumaca Village, Valencia was assaulted during a home invasion on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at approximately 10:30 a.m. The victim was asleep when several men, some of whom he recognized, entered his home and beat him. During the assault, the victim managed to escape and flee the premises, after which police were notified. Acting on the information, police officers conducted a coordinated operation in the Valencia district and intercepted a grey Nissan Wingroad wagon on Cumaca Road with three male occupants. Three men aged 24, 31, and 24, all from the Arima area, were arrested and cautioned; one of the suspects is a private attached to Camp Ogden. The suspects were escorted to the Valencia Police Post pending further enquiries.
