An 81-year-old woman was alone at her home on Old Piarco Road, St. Helena when three masked men dressed in dark clothing forcibly entered the property around 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 26, 2026. The intruders blindfolded and bound the elderly victim before stealing an undisclosed sum of cash in both Trinidad and Tobago and US currency. The suspects then fled the scene in an unknown direction. The woman managed to free herself and raise an alarm. Police were notified and investigations are ongoing into the brazen daylight home invasion.
