An 83-year-old woman was invaded in her home on Broome Street, Petit Bourg around 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The bandit entered her living room while she was watching television, announced a robbery, and covered her mouth to prevent her from screaming. When she resisted, he forced her into a bedroom and locked the door. The bandit stole three cell phones (one valued US$150, two Samsung phones valued $600 each), one iPad valued US$200, $500 cash, and three debit cards before escaping. Neighbours heard the woman screaming and freed her from the locked bedroom. She then called police to report the incident.
