Homeless woman sexually assaulted at shelter (42)

Residence (shelter location), Port of Spain

A 42-year-old homeless woman was sexually assaulted around 1 a.m. on Thursday at a residence where she had sought shelter. The assault was allegedly committed by a 46-year-old man of mixed descent whom she knew. The victim subsequently sought medical attention at Mt. Hope Hospital. Police are actively investigating the incident and have identified the suspect based on the victim's report.
