Zachary Adams, 21, of Warden Road, Point Fortin, was shot multiple times inside a home on Lawrence Street, Salick Trace around 5:30 AM on Thursday. An unknown man allegedly forced his way into the home and opened fire on Adams, who was seated near the front door. Adams suffered five gunshot wounds: two to the abdomen, one to the left lower back, one to the left hip, and one to the right thigh with both entry and exit wounds. Adams was taken to Point Fortin Hospital where he underwent emergency surgery and was warded in stable condition. Police recovered three 9mm spent shells at the scene and conducted area checks and interviews. The gunman fled before police arrived and remains at large. The investigation is ongoing.
