A 26-year-old woman was robbed at gunpoint of $7,000 in cash while walking east along Spurning Lane, Maloney, around 1:35 p.m. on Friday, March 6. The suspect approached her, pointed what appeared to be a black firearm at her, and announced a robbery. Fearing for her life, the woman handed over the cash, which represented sales from her workplace, KD's Mini Mart. The suspect then fled on foot in a westerly direction along the same street. Police are searching for the suspect, identified as David Bennett, who reportedly worked at a business in the Maloney Gardens area and was allegedly dismissed from his job earlier that day before the robbery occurred.
