Fisherman Elvis Bobb docked his boat, the Ethiopia, at a fishing facility in Tobago on Saturday afternoon around 5:30 PM. When he returned around 5 AM on Sunday, the vessel was missing. The boat, valued at $60,000 with a $75-horsepower Yamaha engine worth an additional $60,000, was recovered abandoned in the lagoon near No Man's Land approximately 24 hours later with the engine still intact. A report was made to police and the Coast Guard. This was the second theft Bobb has suffered, after bandits took his engine the previous year. Association representatives called for increased maritime patrols, cameras at fishing facilities, and a zero-tolerance approach to criminality on the island.
