Two suspects arrested with homemade firearms and ammunition in San Fernando

Cypress Boulevard, Union Hall, San Fernando and Cooper Grange Street, St. John Village, Cross Crossing, San Fernando

Two suspects, ages 34 and 44, were arrested during an anti-crime exercise conducted by the Southern Division Road Enforcement Task Force, San Fernando Enquiries Team, and Mon Repos Criminal Investigations Department on Thursday, March 5, 2026 at approximately 2:50 p.m. During a search along Cypress Boulevard in Union Hall, officers discovered a homemade shotgun and one round of ammunition. A subsequent search along Cooper Grange Street in St. John Village resulted in the discovery of another homemade shotgun and four rounds of 12 gauge cartridges. Both men from San Fernando were arrested and are expected to be charged with possession of firearm and possession of ammunition. PC Laloo is continuing enquiries.
