Two mechanics injured in cutlass attack at garage (Sterling Thompson, 57; Anderson Thompson, 48)

Perry Young Road, garage in front of home, Indian Walk , Princes Town

Sterling Thompson, 57, and Anderson Thompson, 48, were attacked by two armed men with cutlasses at their work garage on Perry Young Road around 6:45 p.m. on Thursday, March 5, 2026. The assault followed a dispute over a gold Toyota NZE that was being repaired at the garage. Sterling was struck multiple times about the head and face; when Anderson intervened, he was also chopped multiple times about the head and face. Both victims drove themselves to Princes Town District Health Facility for treatment and were later transferred to San Fernando General Hospital, where they remained warded. The two suspects fled the scene in a gold Toyota Altis heading east toward Perry Young Junction.
