A Mandingo Road resident returned home on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at approximately 5:20 p.m. to discover her house had been forcibly entered and ransacked. The victim had secured the home at 6:15 a.m. with all doors and windows locked before leaving. The intruder gained access by removing burglar-proofing and breaking through a glass window on the southern side of the house. A check of the premises revealed several items missing: a gold chain and pendant valued at TT$100,000, a gold ID band worth TT$25,000, and eight gold rings with a combined value of TT$25,000. Police are investigating the incident.
