A 44-year-old man from Woodford Street, Chaguanas was arrested on Saturday night, March 7, 2026, by members of the Central Division Operations Unit and the National Special Operations Unit—Home Invasion Team while attempting to break into Jolly's Bar on Caroni Savannah Road, Chaguanas. Officers recovered a semi-automatic Smith & Wesson pistol fitted with a loaded magazine from the suspect. A preliminary check revealed the arrested man had previous court matters related to firearm offences, breaking and entry, and robbery.
