A hybrid car parked outside a couple's home on Rodney Road, Endeavour, Chaguanas was broken into around 2:55 AM on Friday morning. The suspect accessed the vehicle and removed the hybrid battery before fleeing the scene. The suspect also tampered with a nearby security camera, pushing it upward in an apparent attempt to avoid being captured on video. Police are investigating the incident. Residents report this is the fifth reported vehicle break-in along Rodney Road involving hybrid cars, citing the high resale value of hybrid batteries as the target.
