Police officer's silver Nissan Wingroad stolen from Special Branch compound

Agra Street, outside Special Branch Headquarters, St James, Port of Spain

A 52-year-old police officer parked his silver Nissan Wingroad outside the Special Branch Headquarters on Agra Street around 8:30 p.m. on Saturday and secured the vehicle before leaving the area. At approximately 4:15 a.m., while at the sentry post, the officer observed his vehicle's headlights being switched on and watched as it was driven south along Agra Street before turning left onto Delhi Street. The officer confirmed he had given no one permission to remove the vehicle. The car was valued at $55,000.
